We recently received a lovely parcel from textile and surface designer Claire Baker containing these laser cut paper and wood collars, below. The paper collars can be embellished and embroidered, and this collection is evidence of the growing trend for fashion items crossing over into the realm of ‘objects for the home’. Abstract references to fashion – from shoe lasts to tailor’s dummies – have been the choice of stylists and homeowners alike, and with collars becoming this season’s staple accessory on the catwalk, we expect the next place for collars will be in the home.
